
INTERNATIONAL WOMEN
Our National Women's Team started in 2012 and in the space of 7 years, have grown drastically and are now ranked 28th in ICC Women's T20I rankings. Our women's team currently on compete in T20s and currently only play in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup EAP Qualifier every 2 years. It is the VCA's goal to increase their opportunities to play cricket internationally against other member countries.
Here are some of their achievements and growth.
2019: Pacific Games Bronze Medalist
2019: 3rd Place - ICC Women's T20 World Cup EAP qualifier - Port Vila, Vanuatu. Defeated Fiji and higher ranked Japan and Indonesia. Started the competition as the lowest ranked team (38) and improved ranking to 28th at the end of the competition.
2017: 3rd Place - ICC Women's T20 World Cup EAP Qualifier, Sano, Japan.
2015: Competed in their first ever Pacific Games
2014: Competed in their first ever regional qualifier
2012: Team was assembled and competed in first ever International/regional cricket competition.
