The Australian Veterans Cricket Tour to Vanuatu in August 2025 brought together players from Australia and Vanuatu for ten days of competitive cricket, cultural exchange and lasting friendships, creating memorable moments both on and off the field.

Despite challenging and unpredictable weather conditions, the tour successfully delivered four days of cricket, featuring the Australian Veterans, Vanuatu's National Women's Cricket Team.

The tour provided a valuable opportunity for players to share their passion for cricket, test their skills and strengthen sporting connections between the two countries. Beyond the competition, it celebrated the spirit of the game and the friendships that cricket continues to foster across communities.

While the matches provided plenty of excitement, some of the tour's most memorable moments took place away from the cricket field.

A much-loved feature of the tour was the traditional duck celebration, a light-hearted custom that brought plenty of laughter whenever a player was dismissed without scoring. It added an element of fun and camaraderie, reflecting the friendly and welcoming atmosphere that defined the tour.

Post-match barbecues, shared experiences and cultural exchanges further strengthened the connections between the visiting Australian players and their Vanuatu counterparts. These moments offered an opportunity for players to connect beyond the game, celebrate their shared love of cricket and experience the warmth of Vanuatu's sporting community.
