Rachel Andrew beams with pride after being named Player of the Match for her unbeaten 72 off 59 balls in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup EAP Qualifier.

Japan’s chase started well but needed more than seven runs per over and ultimately fell short, finishing at 134/6 in their 20 overs. Rayline Ova continues her impressive form with the ball, taking 3/18. Support came from Vicky Mansale (1/22), Nasimana Navaika (1/26), and Vanessa Vira (1/25, including a wicket-maiden), while skipper Andrew bowled 4 overs conceding 38 runs.

After being named Player of the Match, Andrew said composure was key. “Japan started well in the first six, but we’ve got a solid batting line-up and everyone did their job, kept momentum going and finished strong,” she said.
