Following the U19 Men's Cricket World Cup EAP Division 2 Qualifier, where our young squad narrowly missed advancing, the Holiday Inn Resort Vanuatu Men’s Team is now fully focused on their upcoming challenge in Samoa. Vanuatu, the defending champions of the 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup EAP Sub-Regional Qualifier A, will look to build on their past successes.

Chris Laffan, High Performance Manager & National Men's Coach, shared: "Whilst our recent tour to Malaysia wasn’t as fruitful as we would’ve liked, our Men’s squad faced some high quality opposition. We’ll look to capitalise on that experience as we head to Samoa to begin our journey to the 2026 T20 World Cup. The majority of our Men have been engaged in a solid 3-month block in Port Vila, and more closely under the watchful eye of Jeff Cook over the past fortnight, whilst 3 of our squad members have been balancing seasonal work in Australia with their preparations."

Jeff Cook, who was the Head Coach for the Australian Indigenous team that toured Vanuatu last year, has generously offered his expertise to support the Holiday Inn Resort Vanuatu Men’s Team. He previously assisted the team in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup EAP Qualifier Final in Papua New Guinea last year and has once again stepped forward to guide the squad for this upcoming tour.
